iPhone & Android beta

Join the StarKeeper beta

You're early. StarKeeper isn't in the app stores yet. On iPhone it installs through Apple's TestFlight; on Android you download the app file straight from this page. Either way it's free, and it's the same app on the same account.

On iPhone — two steps

Install TestFlight

It's Apple's own app for trying apps before release. If you already have it, skip to step 2.

Accept the invite

Tap the button on your iPhone. TestFlight opens, you tap Install, and StarKeeper lands on your home screen like any other app.

On Android — one tap

StarKeeper isn't on Google Play yet, so on Android you install the app file — an APK — directly from here. Open this page on your Android phone and tap below.

Android will ask twice — both prompts are normal

Chrome warns you before downloading anything that didn't come from the Play Store, and then Android asks whether Chrome is allowed to install apps. Tap Download anyway, open the file, and when the permission prompt appears tap Settings → turn the permission on → Install. You only do this once.

It won't update itself

That's the trade for skipping the Play Store. When there's a new version, come back to this page and download it again — installing over the top keeps your account and everything you've set up. The app itself stays current on its own; only the Android shell around it needs a fresh download.

Rather not install anything?

Open app.starkeeperapp.com in Chrome and use Add to Home screen. Same app, same account, nothing to install.

One thing that's missing on Android

The Continue with Google and Continue with Apple buttons aren't there yet. If you created your account that way, set a password first using Forgot password on the sign-in screen — your Google or Apple sign-in keeps working everywhere else. There are no Home Screen widgets on Android yet either.

Good to know

What happens after the beta?

When StarKeeper reaches the App Store — and Google Play after it — you'll get the release version through the normal store update, and everything you've set up stays exactly where it is. Nothing to redo.

Will it work on my kid's device too?

Yes. Install it the same way on their iPhone, iPad or Android phone. Children sign in by picking their avatar and entering a PIN — no email, no password — and they only ever see their own points and prizes.

Found something odd?

That's the point of a beta. Email support@starkeeperapp.com with what you tapped and what you expected. On iPhone you can also use TestFlight's own Send Beta Feedback, which attaches a screenshot for you.

Ready?

Open this page on the phone you want it on, then tap your platform.

The beta runs under the same privacy policy as the release app: no ads, no selling data, nothing collected from children.
